Who AM I

Hello! I am Sheryl Makin, Director and owner of The Luxury Travel Boutique.

With over 30 year’s sales experience in the travel industry, I have been very fortunate to experience some incredible destinations and travel all over the World. 

As a working mum of twins, I understand the importance of downtime and enjoying a holiday with your chosen companions, whether it’s family or friends.

With this in mind, I launched The Luxury Travel Boutique in 2017 to offer discerning clients my expertise and attention to detail.

My passion for travel started from a young age when the excitement of boarding a plane to Spain for a holiday was considered very adventurous and those early holiday memories nurtured a desire to see the World, experience different cultures and encourage others to go on a great holiday!

My career in travel has been varied; from travel agent to crew for one of the world’s best airlines, from managing top accounts for an independent tour operator to Sales Director of the leading travel trade media publication. I also helped to launch the award winning trade media brand TTG Luxury in 2007 that connects luxury travel sellers with luxury hotels and suppliers. All of this has enabled me to have a wealth of knowledge across all sectors of the industry, with an unrivalled list of contacts that includes many senior industry professionals and destination specialists. 

I have been nominated for several awards since the launch of my business and I am proud of how well respected I am in this incredible industry.
